Terms of Service

1. Who can use Coparity

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. Coparity is a tool for parents and guardians to coordinate the care of their children — accounts are held by adults, not by children.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. Your shared space

Coparity is built around a shared space for two co-parents. You can use it fully on your own, and invite your co-parent whenever you are ready; when they join, they see the space's full history. Both parents can view and contribute to the shared record. Some things stay private to you — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what is shared and what is not.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Coparity for anything unlawful, harmful or abusive.
• Upload content you have no right to share, or that infringes someone's rights.
• Attempt to access another space's data, disrupt the service, or probe its security.
• Misuse the “Talk to a human” or safety channels to harass others.

You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to add information about your children.

5. AI features and guidance

Coparity offers AI assistance — Ask AI, Foresight and Tone — that starts from your child's wellbeing. This guidance is provided to help you think things through. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for a qualified family-law professional. Decisions you make are your own. For legal matters, use the Legal tab to reach a qualified professional.

6. Neutrality

Coparity is neutral by design. We do not take sides between co-parents, we do not decide who is right, and we give the same child-first guidance to both parents. We are not a mediator, arbitrator, legal representative, or a party to any dispute between you.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Coparity offers a free trial and a paid subscription. When you subscribe, billing is handled securely by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Prices, the trial length and what happens if a subscription lapses are shown at sign-up and on our pricing page. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Statutory rights to a refund or cancellation period, where they apply, are unaffected.

8. Your content and our service

The content you add is yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to host, process and display it so we can provide the service to you and your co-parent. We own the Coparity software, brand and design; these terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

9. Cancelling and deleting

You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Trust & privacy. Deletion is handled as described in our Privacy Policy: if you are the only person in your space it is fully erased; if your co-parent is still using it, the shared record they rely on is kept and your contributions are anonymised.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Coparity available and reliable, but we provide the service “as is” and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these terms; for material changes we will tell you in the app or by email and update the date above.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, Coparity is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Coparity is a coordination tool, not a provider of legal, financial or safeguarding services.

12. Ending your access

You can stop using Coparity at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms or use the service in a way that harms others or the service, giving notice where reasonable.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [England and Wales], and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer law gives you other rights.
